We don’t hand you a plan and leave.

Twenty-five years finding what is capping growth and eating profit in owner-led companies, then staying until it is actually fixed.

Who you are actually hiring

Visecution was founded by Damon Pistulka. What follows is his account of how the company came to work the way it does, so the rest of this page is in his voice.

Some of this work I do myself. Some of it is done by people I have worked with for years and trust with my name on the invoice.

Either way it runs through Visecution, I am accountable for it, and the standard does not move.

What you are not getting is an agency that assigns you whoever is free this month. When we bring in a second person, it is one specialist chosen for your specific problem, and you will know exactly who they are and why they are there.

Why a mechanical engineer ended up doing this

I started out as a mechanical engineer. Then I spent twenty-five years across manufacturing, ecommerce, B2B services and healthcare, mostly running things rather than advising on them.

That range is the whole point.

Specialists see their slice, which is exactly what makes them good at it. It is also why they miss a problem living between two departments. Your marketing person explains marketing. Your biller explains billing. Your CPA explains the tax return. Each of them is right.

I read a business as one thing. Most of what is actually wrong is sitting in the space between two people who each think it belongs to the other.

Chief of Making Shit Happen

I grew up on a 3,000 acre farm in South Dakota. Out there a fix either works or it does not, and nobody is impressed by a plan.

Which is why I gave myself that title. People ask what it means.

It means we don’t hand you a plan and leave.

Most of what gets sold to owners is analysis. You already have analysis. What you have never had is a stretch of weeks free enough to go build the thing the analysis pointed at.

So that is the part we do with you.

60%Administrative labor down
25%Speed to care up

A multi-site specialty clinic in Washington, over an ongoing engagement as executive coach and fractional CFO.

We didn’t advise on this from the outside. We went in and built it.

What twenty-five years of this has taught us

  • Only a few things are ever actually holding a business back. Not forty. Two or three.
  • Owners are not the problem. The business outgrew a set of decisions that were correct when they were made.
  • A process document nobody reads is not a system. A number somebody owns is.
  • You cannot go fast if you are not good. Speed and quality are not a trade.
  • The work itself is almost never where the time goes.
  • If we are still needed in two years, we did the job badly.

How we work

Whatever seat it takes.

COO, CFO, or CEO work depending on where the lever is. Most fractional executives are one seat. The problem does not always sit in that seat.

Month to month.

No contract. If it stops being worth it, stop.

A network, not an agency.

Where you need depth we do not have in house, we bring in one specialist sized to the job.

Temporary by design.

We fill the hole until you can fill it. The measurement stays after we are gone, which is the part that actually holds.

Let’s find out where yours is stuck.

Two conversations. No pitch.

If we are not the right fit for your situation, we will say so early rather than take your money.
