Who this is for, and who it isn’t.

We would rather you decide this here than four months into an engagement. So this page is blunt.

This is probably for you if

  • You own the business and you can decide without a board.
  • Revenue is somewhere between $3M and $12M, and it grew again this year.
  • You have already spent real money trying to fix this. More admin staff, a manager, a new system.
  • You are still the person who understands how the whole thing works.
  • You can name three things that are wrong and you have not fixed any of them, because there is never a week free enough.
  • You are willing to change something you have been protecting.

This is not for you if

  • You want a report. You can buy a diagnosis anywhere, and you probably already have one in a drawer. We only take work where we are doing the work too.
  • You want the clinical side changed. Care is yours. We work on everything around it.
  • The business is in real financial distress. This is improvement work, not a turnaround under a bank deadline. Different job, different person.
  • You are looking to sell in the next twelve months. The work builds value, but it builds it over years, not quarters.
  • You want someone to manage the practice permanently. We are temporary by design. If you need a permanent seat filled, hire for it and we will help you write the role.
  • You already know the answer and want help executing it. Then you do not need the diagnosis, and you should hire directly into the gap.

The part most people leave off a page like this

This will be uncomfortable.

The changes that fix a business like this are usually the ones you have been avoiding. That is generally why they are still there.

Sometimes it is a person who has been with you for fifteen years and is in the wrong seat. Sometimes it is a process you built yourself and are quietly proud of. Sometimes it is finding out that a number you have been quoting for years was never right.

None of that is a character flaw. Every owner we work with has some version of it, and it is what happens when you spend twenty years saying yes under pressure.

But if you are not willing to make those changes when we get there, the work does not hold, and it is better that we both know that now than in month four.

What we need from you

ONE

Access

To your numbers and to your people, at their desks, doing the actual work. Not a summary.

TWO

An hour a week

The management review. Same time, every week, with you in it. This one is not optional.

THREE

A decision when it is time

When we find the thing, someone has to say yes to changing it. That is you, and it usually cannot wait a quarter.

What you get either way

If we work together

Month to month, no contract. We fill the hole until you can fill it, and then we should be gone.

If we don’t

You keep the plan. What we would do, in what order, and what it would take. It is yours whether you hire us or not.

If we are not the right fit for your situation, we will tell you in the first conversation.

Still reading?

Then it is probably worth a conversation.

Two of them, actually. No pitch in either one.
